many things you may or may not know about me… interesting… i promise
so this is like a little peek at my life… Another one of those crazy facebook chain letter things… but i thought it was interesting, and i was tagged by almost every single one of my friends, so i finally decided to do this. alot of the reason behind me doing this being that… i have come to realize that most people don’t really know me… i guess its my fault, but i was always that girl that just didn’t give a crap, you know, that girl that was happy to just be there, i’ve always had lots and lots of friends. but i guess i never really completely opened up to anyone. so here it goes… a bunch of random facts about Alisa, (i have this in 2 sections, the music section and the non music section… because music is the core of my life- it means everything to me)
MUSIC
1) i’m obsessed with finding new bands and often use them to educate my friends in good tastes in music. my current band i’m promoting around my friends is called J-minus, if you’d like, i could pass along a cd i have with a few of their songs, they are amazing and i swear you will not regret this.
2) i can memorize lyrics to songs after hearing them as little as once and often sing them to myself at random times, but i can’t remember my own phone number. (and i’m not exagerating when i say this)
3) i’m obsessed with finding the meaning to lyrics in songs (i could almost care less what the song actually sounds like) and i often use them to convey how i’m feeling at any given time.
4) I have a very eclectic taste in musice, ofthen people think its crazy that on my ipod i have in the same play list, bob dylan, avenged sevenfold, taylor swift, and santana. i know this sounds weird, but i arrange the song into playlists as to how they make me feel. (happy, sad, heart-broken, pumped up, etc)
5) i’m a sucker for a sick guitar riff (i’m sure its because of jealousy), and i think this is why i was drawn to the band avenged sevenfold in the first place… because ALL of their songs have great guitar work in it.
6) i have a guitar, and i LOVE to mess around with it, but i have never really learned how to play it, though my dream would be to be a great guitar player, this is my next big project. Learn the guitar.
7) I’m not a very musically talented person, though with all my heart i wish i were.
8) Music (to me) = Life. it IS a part of everything i do.
9) i hate when people call themselves fans of a band, but can only identify one or two songs from the band (usually only from the radio)
10) I’m a hardcore music lover, and i don’t listen to the radio or watch MTV, both seem to be wastes of time in my opinion.
11) NEVER call me a bandwagon music fan. it happened once… and i almost hurt them. i find it very offensive since i spend so much time expanding my music library, its not like me to be like… “hummm a million people like this band… let me check it out”. i’m usually the first person in my circle of friends to hear the band (or CD in some cases), and have probably been the one to recommend the band to the person you heard about it from. (sorry, just me getting some irritation off my chest)
12) I hate when people go to concerts because they like one of the bands songs they heard on the radio… yeah… they may be amazing artist… but if you can’t recognize more than that one song… you probably shouldn’t be there.
13) i desperately would love to write songs, and i have tried, but i have given up on this because every time i try, i alway end up ripping off someone elses songs, since i have so many lyrics swirling around in my hear, i just accidently pull out someone elses while writing my own… then i get frustrated… and give up.
14) When i’m in my car i sing like a rockstar…. but i’m sure i sound like a dying cat.
NON-MUSICAL
15) I have an unhealthy obsession with Converse Chuck Taylor shoes. my favorite are a pair that are white, with black laces, with the Doors logo them. and i’m constantly on the converse website custom designing my next pair.
16) I organize my closet by color, then by sleeve legnth from right to left within the rainbow scheme ( red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, white, black, grey, brown) its to the point now that i do this without even thinkin about it.
17) I’m obsessed with things that have Skulls on them… especially clothing and jewery.
18) i have about 100 pairs of socks and 90% of them have random patterns or colors
19) I often make big decisions based upon dreams i’ve had, basically i dream about it, then become obsessed with it… lol… my latest dream is moving to the West Coast.
20) i hate staying in the same place for too long of a time. and if i do, i have to change things around, or redecorate every few months to keep myself happy.
21) i change the color of my hair more often than i change the sheets on my bed… well maybe not, but its close.
22) I’ve read about 70 books in the last 4 months since my car accident, and of those book, several of them i’ve read more than once in that time, 6 of them, i’ve read upwards of 4 times each in that time.
23) i sleep with 11 pillows, and they have to be in a certain configuration in order for me to sleep. (i know… sounds crazy)
24) i prefer eating out to cookinf for myself any day, though cooking and baking are 2 of my favorite hobbies.
25) i would rather go to work than hang around the house… or basically anything… i love my job.
26) i am deathly afraid of snakes, and i almost got bit by a rattle snake twice while i was on my last “mission” for work in the extreme NW corner of Colorado.
27) i was informed not to long ago, that a few months back i totally “told off” my boss, i was soo embarrassed, but i was told it was okay because he was being stupid, and i was right. then they informed me that it happened all the time while i was speaking to him… because “i know what i’m talking about and i’m not afraid to tell people they’re wrong when they actually are”
28) My absolute, all time, favorite TV show is Queer As Folk. But i’ve never actually watched it while it ran on tv.
29) my favorite activity to do is relax in a bubble bath reading, listening to my Ipod.
30) People who obsess about celebritites DRIVE ME CRAZY
31) Every time i buy a new car, it takes less than 3 days before i’m internet shopping for my next one.
32) i have owned 7 cars throughout my life… and i’ve only been driving for 8 years. (and all of them, with exception of my last 2 have had names aka, the pony, the tank, layla, duke, the sunflower)
33) i know more random facts than an encyclopedia, but you would never know
it since i’m considerably the most “flighty” person who has ever lived.
34) i have a relationship with someone that i shouldn’t, it is a very irresponsible thing, i know i should, but i can’t help myself. and it would be very detrimental (to my health and safety possibly) if certain people were to find out about it. but at this point, i have no plans to discontinue this relationship.
35) i would give ANYTHING to rewind my life to the summer after my sophomore year of college. ( i’m not even kidding, this was the best time of my life with the best people, parties, scandals, and i swear i had the best attitude about life at this point… and there’s a certain someone i severely miss from this time in my lfe…)
well thats it really… i feel like i’ve gotten almost everything off of my chest… and i hope this blog helps you realize “who i am”
